defencetechjobs is a curated job board for defence and dual-use technology startups across the UK, EU, EEA, and Ukraine. It exists because Europe needs to rebuild its defence industrial base, and the talent infrastructure for that hasn't existed.

Editorial scope

We list roles at startups only — venture-backed, founder-led companies building new defence and dual-use technology. We don't list primes (BAE, Leonardo, Airbus DS, MBDA, Thales, Rheinmetall, and so on). We don't list defence consultancies or staffing firms. The focus is on companies building product.

Geographic scope is the UK, EU member states, EEA (Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein), Switzerland, and Ukraine. Companies headquartered in or with substantial engineering presence in this region are eligible.

Editorial standards

All listings are reviewed before publication. We don't list roles from companies whose primary business is selling to actively-sanctioned regimes.

Who runs this

defencetechjobs is run by Andro Mathewson, a researcher in emerging military technologies focused on the war in Ukraine. The site is independent and editorially curated — not a staffing or recruitment agency.
